The brewing loop of Hela: of Mice & Magic, gather ingredients, brew Remedies, heal the witch and open up new paths.

The brewing loop

Brewing is Hela's core gameplay loop. The kind witch who protected the land is growing frail, and her little mouse familiars carry on her work:

  1. Gather. Explore the open world and collect magical ingredients; your Froggy backpack is built for hauling and reaching awkward spots
  2. Brew. Combine them into Remedies, the game's magical potions
  3. Help. Remedies heal the witch, aid the village's inhabitants, and restore harmony to the land
  4. Open. Brewed Remedies open up new paths and areas to explore

Recipe database

The full ingredient list and recipe combinations are being documented for launch. When the game is out on December 1, this section will grow into a complete, searchable recipe table covering where to farm each ingredient, what each Remedy does, and co-op farming tips.

Coming December 2026. Until then, the world & regions overview shows where the known biomes, and their ingredients, live.
